Easter embroidery ideas

Popular Easter embroidery projects are personalized basket liners, egg hunt tote bags, baby bibs, tea towels, napkins and spring pillow covers. A bunny, a decorated egg, a chick or a butterfly at 3 to 4 inches suits most of them, and a child's name makes each basket their own.

Tips

Before you stitch

  • Basket liners are easiest to embroider flat, before the liner is sewn together.
  • On thin cotton napkins, use a light tear-away and a fine 75/11 needle.
  • Pastel thread on white fabric looks soft; outline light colors so they don't fade into the fabric.
