Workflow

From artwork to finished order

The whole job in four steps, with every setting still in your hands.

  1. 1

    Start from print artwork

Open the customer's logo file. Remove gradients and drop shadows that don't translate to thread.

  2. 2

    Size it for the garment

Pick a placement: left chest, cap front or full back. The preview shows exactly how it stitches.

  3. 3

    Pick backing and fabric

Use the stabilizer finder for the garment, and the matching fabric setting in the digitizer.

  4. 4

    Download and sew

Download DST or your machine's format and run a test sew-out before the order.

FAQ

Questions from print shops

The quickest way to see what it does with your artwork is to try it. With a free account, digitizing and previewing cost nothing and take about a minute.

What's different about artwork for embroidery?

Thread needs flat colors, no gradients, and lines and letters thick enough to stitch: about 1 mm for lines and 5 mm for capital letters. Small details that print fine may need simplifying.

Do I need a commercial machine?

Not to start. A single-needle home machine can sew small runs; multi-needle machines are faster for orders. Embrizo makes files for both.

Can I offer the same logo in print and embroidery?

Yes. Use the same customer artwork: print it as usual, and digitize it here for the embroidered items in the order.

Which plan fits a print shop?

Shop's 100 designs a month covers most shops adding embroidery. Move to Pro for unlimited downloads as embroidery grows.
