Privacy Policy

Last updated October 31, 2026

Embrizo is built to need as little of your data as possible. Your images are digitized on your own device and are never uploaded. An account is optional and only used to keep the designs you choose to save.

The short version

  • Your images never leave your device. The digitizer, converters and tools run entirely in your browser.
  • Accounts are optional. If you sign in, we store your email address, name and profile photo from Google (if you use Google), and the designs you save.
  • Analytics, with your choice. We use Google Analytics to understand how Embrizo is used. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we only set analytics cookies if you accept them.
  • No ads, no selling. We don’t show ads, don’t use advertising cookies and don’t sell or share your personal information.
  • You stay in control. Delete any design, or your whole account, at any time from My designs.

What we collect

Images and embroidery files you open

Images you digitize and embroidery files you open in our tools are processed by code running in your browser. They are not sent to us or anyone else, and we cannot see them.

Your account (optional)

You can sign in with Google or with a one-time link sent to your email. We receive and store your email address, and, if you use Google, your name and profile photo address. We also store when your account was created and when you last signed in. Sign-in is provided by Google Firebase Authentication.

Designs you save

When you choose Save to my designs, we store the finished stitch data, a small preview image, the design name, thread colors, size and stitch statistics, and when it was saved. We never store the original image you digitized. Each account can keep up to 100 designs.

Usage and device information

With Google Analytics we collect the pages you visit, the page that referred you, your browser, device type, screen size and approximate location (country and city, derived from your IP address, which Google Analytics does not store), and how you use features: for example uploading an image, finishing a design, downloading a file, using a tool or signing in. We also record page speed measurements (Core Web Vitals). If you are signed in, events are linked to a random account ID so we can understand use across devices; we never send your name or email address to Google Analytics.

Information stored on your device

We keep a few small values in your browser’s storage so the site works the way you left it: your preferred file format, your cookie choice, whether you are signed in, and, while you are signing in by email, the address the link was sent to.

Emails you send us

If you contact us, we keep the message and your address to reply and help you.

How we use it

  • To provide Embrizo: signing you in, saving your designs and letting you download them again.
  • To understand which features people use and where they get stuck, so we can improve the digitizer and tools.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse, for example by limiting how much each account can store.
  • To answer your questions and send emails you ask for, such as sign-in links. We don’t send marketing email.

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, our legal bases are: performing our agreement with you (your account and saved designs), your consent (analytics cookies), and our legitimate interests in running a secure, working service.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use only what we need, and no advertising cookies.

NamePurposeDuration
_ga, _ga_48DYME8H25Google Analytics: tells visits apart to count usage. Only set when analytics cookies are allowed.Up to 2 years

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off until you accept them in the banner. Elsewhere they are on by default, and we treat a browser’s Global Privacy Control signal as a choice to turn them off. When analytics cookies are off, Google Analytics may still receive basic, cookieless measurements without identifiers. You can change your choice at any time: .

Who we share it with

We use Google as our service provider for sign-in (Firebase Authentication), our database (Cloud Firestore) and analytics (Google Analytics), and a hosting provider to serve the website. They process data on our behalf under their data processing terms. We don’t sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.

Google may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers are covered by safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

  • Your account and saved designs: until you delete them or delete your account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
  • Google Analytics data: up to 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically.
  • Support emails: as long as needed to help you, then deleted.

Your choices and rights

You can download your saved designs at any time, rename or delete them, and delete your account and all its data from My designs. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California law), you may also have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, email [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Database rules ensure that only you can read or change your account and designs. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and keep what we store to a minimum.

Children

Embrizo is not directed to children. Accounts are not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and the UK). If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let signed-in users know.
